Over the last ten years Mike Shannon has been at the vanguard of his craft using a lurid sense of personal aesthetic that has made him a luminary in the Canadian electronic music scene. In the past decade he has launched the always on-point Cynosure imprint, and produced a wide-reaching palette of electronic sounds utilising minimal principles to capture moods from peak-time floor foucsed funk to introspective downtempo noodlings. He has released on major labels such as Force Inc. and Mathew Jonson's surefire Wagon Repair stable, and produced such classic side-projects as the John Shananigans pseudonym, responsible for the jaw-dropping 3am freak out of 'Charlie's On The Dancefloor'. Currently located between Valencia, Spain and Berlin Germany Mike continues seeking only to undermine the mediocre mindset that afflicts music, life and spirit.
